What is tym.ly?
tym.ly is a new type of social calendar tool built on top of Twitter.
How to log events:
Mention @tymly and a supported date format in your tweet to log a publicly viewable event or direct message tymly to log a private event.
How to log notes:
Mention @tymly in your tweet to log a publicly viewable note or direct message tymly to log a private note (do not include a supported date format or the note will be logged as an event).
How to view a calendar:
Just append any twitter username to the tym.ly url. For example, http://tym.ly/falicon.
Public vs. Private:
By default direct message tweets to tymly are logged as private events or notes while mentions to tymly (@tymly) are logged as public events or notes. However you can manually specify what status you want your event or note logged as by including either the #public or #private tag directly in your tweet.
Your Privacy:
Public events and notes are visible to everyone including anonymous, non-logged in viewers. Private events and notes require users to be logged in and are only visible by you and the followers you have specifically granted 'private' permissions to. Please be aware that granting private permissions to a follower allows them to see all of your public and private events and notes. |
